Adele has gone through quite the change over the years, having gone from BRIT School college student to global superstar, and her look has changed along the way too. Our gallery charts the singer’s weight loss story in pictures – and you may be surprised by just how different she looks these days!

As our first pictures show, Adele made herself known on the music scene in 2008 and seemed comfortable in her own pores and skin. By 2009 Adele started to channel a more glamorous image following the success of debut album 19. She made the most of her assets and cinched in her slim waist in chic black dresses often. The award-winning star appeared shapelier than ever before in March 2011 when she was photographed looking slightly dishevelled near her home in London. It emerged shortly after the release of second record 21, which continued to end up being the biggest-selling album of the 21st hundred years.

Despite having an unbelievable year, Adele suffered a potential setback and really needs surgery on her vocal cords credited to a polyp. In Dec 2011 She surfaced looking very different whilst in recovery, having lost quite a little of weight clearly. Fortunately she were on the mend and was back again to her usual self at the Brit Awards in 2012, where her voice sounded as effective as she looked! By February 2013 she was back the public eye and glowing just weeks after having a baby when she went to the Grammy Awards. Finally in 2015 the much-loved celebrity made her musical return after several years away and sported an enviable physique whilst doing promotional work for third recording 25 in London.

During this time she excitingly said she was preparing for a possible tour (scream!) by reducing on sugars and carbs, although not – ‘I’d never deprive myself like that completely! She also talked about how she’s been hitting the gym, ‘to get in form for myself, but not to be always a size zero or anything like this.’ Atta young lady! And refreshingly, she admitted she discovers working out in the same way difficult once we do. ’ she laughs. ‘I don’t appreciate it. I really do like doing weights. Later in 2016 it was revealed Adele was following Sirtfood diet which is a fitness plan by her trainer Pete Geracimo.

The diet promotes slimmers to consume flower foods, such as kale, which switch on the body’s ‘slim gene’ which handles the way the body handles extra fat. The diet has been so successful with some public people, it’s seen people lose up to seven pounds in a week! Following her world tour closing in late 2016 Adele continuing to look amazing. Admitting she was keen to take some time to concentrate on her family, have another kid and eventually confessing to secretly engaged and getting married maybe, the star appeared stunning as she dominated the 2017 Grammy Awards, scooping five gongs.

And 2017 was another big yr for the star as she continuing to tour across the world, in June and was compelled to cancel her final two shows but was struck by disease again. In a handwritten note in her tour booklet, Adele also broke fans’ hearts when she hinted that she might never tour round the world again, saying being abroad just ‘doesn’t suit her’. Publishing simple of herself looking AMAZING in a white cape and dress on Instagram, she composed: ‘Seeing as the felines out the bag. I wedded two of my best friends in January.
